Our Purpose

Canterbury Gypsy support & youth division is a voluntary not-for-profit organisation, which is jointly run by Romani Gypsies and members of the settled community. Our purpose of the organisation is working for Romani Gypsies, Irish Travellers, and European Roma, to gain access to fresh running water, accommodation, health care, sanitation, education, and above all a total harmonisation with the wider community.

Our organisations work closely with public sector organisation in a partnership to change the perceptions and stereotypical attitudes towards Romani Gypsies, Irish Traveller, and our European Roma.

In April 2009 Canterbury Gypsy Support & Youth Division, joined a partnerships of sharing an office along with Swale Gypsy & traveller support, Amicus Horizon, International Gypsy & Traveller affairs.
